Product Details:
Coral calcium is a natural source of calcium. Being enriched with vitamin D and silica, it is easily assimilated by the body, and it is naturally completing the daily necessary requirement of minerals for each of us. It is recommended to supplement calcium and vitamin D3 - essential for normal bone metabolism - it favors full skeletal development and it prevents bone mass reduction, it prevents bone formation disorders (osteoporosis, osteomalacia) and it is also recommended as a complementary treatment. The existence of adequate amounts of calcium and vitamin D3 in the body is particularly important during pregnancy and lactation, during and after menopause, for people who do no get exposed to the sun too much (for example the elderly and sick people unable to leave the house), persons who have a vegetarian diet or who do not cosume sufficient amounts of dairy products.

* A new study published in the March 2010 edition of the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism showed that a shocking percentage of 59% of the population suffers from a deficiency of vitamin D. Furthermore, almost 25% of those tested have a very low level of vitamin D in the body.

The author of the study, Dr. Richard Kremer from the McGill University Health Centre said "Abnormal levels of vitamin D are associated with a wide range of diseases, including cancer, osteoporosis and diabetes, and also with cardiovascular disorders and with those disorders that are related to the immune system. "

This new study confirms that there is a clear link between vitamin D deficiency and the fat stored in the body. This supports the theory presented many years ago in Nature lNews, that the sun facilitates the loss of fat from the body. Vitamin D may be the hormonal mechanism by which this phenomenon of fat loss operates in the body.

* Recent research conducted at the University of Copenhagen revealed that vitamin D activates the immune system by "arming" the T cells to fight against infections.

This new research, led by Professor Carsten Geisler from the Department of Health, Immunology and Microbiology at the University of Copenhagen, showed that, without vitamin D, the immune T cells remain dormant, offering no protection, or maybe only a little protection against invading microorganisms and viruses. But the presence of vitamin D in the bloodstream causes the cells to be "armed" and to detect invaders, destroying them and eliminating them from the body.

Silicon dioxide- has an important role in maintaining healthy bones, cartilage and ligaments, and it also supports the health of hair and nails. In the past, this element has been used to heal wounds and to stop internal and external bleeding. It was considered useful as a diuretic, or to remove kidney stones. It acts on all the inflammatory processes, so that most people who use it give up cortisone. In case of rheumatism, its action is surprising and especially fast. All inflammation are caused by the lack of organic silicon. Also, it is an adequate solution for all skin problems. Moreover, we can say that it is useful for growing teeth in children, or to treat gingivitis.
