Product Details

Ginkgo biloba- is one of the oldest tree species on our planet, which is found worldwide, that have reached the venerable age of 3,500 years. Buddhist monks, who have been responsible for the survival of this tree in the past centuries, believe that ginkgo biloba is an incarnation of the divine entities in the human world. This plant makes us ... intelligent, attentive, helping us keep our mental tone  up and overcome depression, it is very helpful against diabetes, asthma, cancer and diseases caused by irradiation. Generally, ginkgolides act as PAF inhibitor factors (the factor of aggregation of platelets, leukocytes, macrophages), involved in platelet aggregation, and inflammatory reactions. Flavonoids act as free radicals. Due to these properties, the various effects of the leaf extract can be explained. The extract acts on blood circulation disorders at the level of the brain and extremities, thereby improving energy metabolism in the brain by increasing the uptake of glucose and oxygen at the molecular level.  It increases visual acuity in the eye. It inhibits the platelet activating factor, which reduces the tendency of blood clotting. It is also used for body care. Ginkgo is great for activating microcirculation and decongesting skin tissues.

Monier Bacopa (Brahmi) - one of the most used herbs in the Ayurvedic medicine, it was used in folk tradition to treat epilepsy and asthma. If it is used as recommended, it reduces the frequency of epileptic attacks and their severity. Studies have shown that this herb reduces anxiety and depression. It increases the cognitive ability and intelligence. Because of its nootropic effects, it improves memory, intellectual activity and the ability to learn. The polyphenolii and sulfhydril structures extracted from this plant reduce oxidative stress, inhibit the activity of lipoxygenase, preventing the storage of b-amyloid in the case of laboratory animals suffering from Alzheimer. The research conducted has shown that Bacopa Monier can restore memory to people with amnesia that is  induced by tranquilizers.

Phosphatidylserine- part of the lipids class ( it is a glycerophospholipid) and in the composition of cell membranes. It is used because of the alleged effect of modulating the neuroendocrine response to stress through its anti-cortisol effects.

Phosphatidylserine- is a dietary supplement that was originally used to improve the activity of the brain. A number of studies have shown that this substance improves cognitive abilities for the elderly. Italian scientists have shown that phosphatidylserine may reduce the cortisol secretion that occurs after intense effort. Cortisol is a stress hormone secreted under stress conditions, which limits the transport of amino acids into cells, inhibits anabolic processes and stimulates the breakdown of proteins to be used in the process of gluconeogenesis. Studies have shown that an increased level of serum cortisol leads to increased protein catabolism, loss of muscle tissue and negative nitrogen balance. These effects lead to the addition of substances having anti-cortisol effect, such as glutamine and phosphatidylserine, among dietary supplements. The use of phosphatidylserine significantly reduces ACTH and cortisol levels without affecting the release of growth hormone. Due to this action, it is widely used by athletes.

Laboratory studies have considered a number of parameters that follow the evolution of performance, respiratory capacity and cardiac respiratory effort, blood composition - all these were measured before, during and after exercise testing. These studies showed that subjects who consumed phosphatidylserine showed a significant increase in the duration of execution of the maximal effort performed to exhaustion - from 7 minutes and 51 seconds to 9 minutes and 55 seconds, at least; but in terms of the changes in the biological parameters specific to exercise (in conjunction with cortisol secretion), there was no significant difference.

St. John's Wort - St. John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum) is a herbaceous, perennial plant, which contains the active ingredients: hypericin, pseudohypericin, flavonoids, tannins and volatile oils. It is important to know that its action that is best documented through scientific studies is the antidepressant action. Hypericin, flavonosids and especially hiperforin interact with the neurotransmitters at the level of the brain, that are related to depression: serotonin, dopamine, monoamines, GABA. It is recommended in the treatment of premenstrual syndrome, anxiety, sleep disorders, mild and moderate depression, in which cases a long-term treatment it required.

L-glutamine- Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid in the body, most of it being stored in the muscles, but it is also found in the brain, liver, blood and lungs. It is a nonessential amino acid because it can be produced in the body from another amino acid, the glutamic acid, but it can be considered a conditionally essential amino acid because, in times of stress (as is the intense training), the body can not cope only with its own synthesis of glutamine. It was traditionally considered a nonessential amino acid. New researchears and studies associate it to a new category, that of a conditionally essential amino acid, meaning that it can be produced by metabolism, but in some special cases it can not be produced in sufficient quantities. Special cases include, obviously, the periods when we are under both physical and mental stress, attacks on the immune system, malnutrition etc. As a summary of its effects, glutamine is a source of energy for intestinal cells, helps production of immune cells; is a source of energy for the brain; helps protein synthesis, is a transport of ammonia; it is anti-catabolic ( it stops the breakdown of proteins).

Vinpocetine - has a neuroprotective effect by: moderating the harmful effects of cytotoxic reactions caused by excitatory amino acids,  the inhibition of both voltage-gated sodium channels and NMDA and AMPA receptors. It potentiates the neuroprotective effect of adenosine. It stimulates brain metabolism by increasing the capacity of abstraction and consumption of O2 and glucose at the level of the brain tissue. It increases the tolerance to cerebral hypoxia; vinpocetine deviates glucose metabolism via the aerobial way that is favourable in terms of energy and it increases AMPc levels in the brain. It increases the concentration of ATP and the ratio ATP / AMP.

Vinpocetine increases the turnover of norepinephrine and serotonin in the brain, stimulates the ascending noradrenergic system and has antioxidant action. As a result of these effects, vinpocetine has a cerebroprotective effect. Vinpocetine improves the cerebral microcirculation by inhibiting platelet aggregation, it reduces the pathological increase in blood viscosity, it increases red blood cell deformability and inhibits their ability to capture adenosine, promoting the transport of oxygen  to the tissues, and reducing the affinity of erythrocytes to be able to fulfill its roles.
