Tumor diseases have appeared more and more frequently in the recent decades. This is due to several factors that are characteristic for the modern lifestyle: increased levels of pollution and radiation, chemical food, excessive consumption of stimulants (alcohol, tobacco, drugs, caffeine), chronic psychological stress and oxidative stress (free radicals excess can cause mutations in the cellular DNA, cell destruction and the appearance of many forms of cancer), sedentary lifestyle, etc.
The causes of cancer are not yet completely understood, but modern scientific research has brought into question the psycho-somatic theory, which is based on the psycho-neuro-endocrine-immunological axis. It refers to determinism, which is mainly based on hormone-related aspects (uterine cancer, prostate cancer, etc.), immunological disorders and chronic microbial infection. There is a theory (immunogenetic theory), that considers cancer the result of a mutation in a body with immune deficiency. Another cause that can not be neglected is the hereditary one.

Cordyceps (Cordyceps sinensis)
Cordyceps sinensis is a fungus of the Ascomycetes class which grows in China, Nepal and Tibet. Its composition consists of: cordycepin, ergosterol, alkenoic acids, nucleosides, sterols and polysaccharides, bioactive substances with a strong antitumoral and immunostimulatory action, inducing the apoptosis of tumor cells, and therefore, inhibiting tumor growth. Also, the fungus is a powerful immunostimulatory: it increases the number of NK (natural killer) cells, it stimulates the secretion of interferon-γ, of the tumor necrosis factor TNF-α and interleukin-1. Cordyceps also presents antiarrhythmic, hypotensive, antioxidant and antimalarial effects.
Ganoderma (Ganoderma lucidum)
Ganoderma is a mushroom of the Basidiomycetes class, and it has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for over 4,000 years to treat immune deficiencies, cancer, liver disease, circulatory disorders and to increase longevity. It consists of: lanostanoid triterpene (γ-θ ganoderic acids from spores, ganoderic acids A-Z, lucidenic acids A-N, alcohols and lucialdehydes A-C from mycelium), organic germanium and polysaccharides, bioactive compounds with antitumoral, anti-androgenic and immunomodulatory action, which inhibits tumor growth and metastasis (inducing the apoptosis of tumor cells and inhibiting angiogenesis), it stimulates the secretion of interferon, interleukin-1 and interleukin-2, it inhibits androgenic receptor blockade, and 5-α-reductase, the enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone, which is involved in the pathogenesis of prostate tumors. Ganoderma also has hepatoprotective, antioxidant, antiviral, antibacterial, anti-allergic, hypoglycemic, lipid-lowering, anti-inflammatory and analgesic action.
Agaricus (Agaricus blazei)
Agaricus blazei is part of the Basidiomycetes class, being a mushroom, that is originary from Brazil. The first historical account on the therapeutic uses of the mushrooms in the Agaricus species appears in Byzantine medical treatises, dating from IV-XV AD, and mentioning their use for treating the malignant ulcers of the larynx. This plant has been cultivated widely in Japan, as Japanese researchers discovered its powerful immunostimulatory and antitumoral properties. In the chemical composition of the plant have been identified polysaccharides (α-1,4-D-glucan, α-1,6-D-glucan, β-1,3-D-glucan), steroids (ergosterol, blazein), glucomannan, proteoglycan, ribo glucans and amino acids, bioactive substances that stimulate the secretion of interferon, of tumor necrosis agent (TNF-α), interleukin-8, B cells, NK cells (natural killer) T suppressor cells and macrophages. It also has an antitumoral action (producing tumor cell apoptosis and inhibiting angiogenesis), it has antimutagenic and antioxidant properties. Agaricus also has antiviral, cholesterol lowering, lipid-lowering, hypoglycemic and hypotensive properties.
Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera)
Also known as “Indian ginseng”, Ashwagandha is a perennial tree that grows in India, the Middle East and Africa. In the Ayurvedic traditional medicine, it has been used for over 3000 years due to its diuretic, aphrodisiac and rejuvenating properties. The main components that are responsible for the pharmaceutic action of the plant are withanolides (particularly withaferin A), antitumoral bioactive substances that cause tumor cell apoptosis and the inhibition of the nuclear factor kappa of B cells (transcription factor associated with oncogenesis). The research conducted has shown that ashwagandha inhibits angiogenesis, reduces the side effects of conventional chemotherapy (myelosuppression and leukopenia), enhancing hematopoiesis, as well as having a radioprotective action. The plant also has the following effects: anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, analgesic, antidepressant, anxiolytic, sedative, hypoglycemic, cholesterol lowering, diuretic, aphrodisiac, it improves memory and concentration, and it increases stamina.
Astragalus (Astragalus membranaceus)
Astragalus is an herb that has been used in the traditional Chinese medicine for hundreds of years to regenerate the body and boost the immune system. In the composition of the plant, there have been identified triterpenoid saponins (astragalosides I-VIII and astra membranes I - II), polysaccharides (astra glucans A, B and C, astragalans I, II and III), bassorin and tragacanthin, bioactive compounds that boost immunity by stimulating the secretion of interferon, macrophages, interleukin-6, tumor necrosis factors and by increasing the number of natural killer cells (NK). Astragalus reduces mutagenesis, inhibits tumor growth and reduces the side effects of chemotherapy and cobaltotherapy. Oldenlandia (Oldenlandia diffusa)
Oldenlandia is a plant that comes from China, where it is used to treat cancer, hepatitis and snakebites. The pharmaceutic action of the plant is attributed to the following components: asperuloside, 3-metilantrachinone, p-coumaric methyl ester, flavonosids (glycosides of quercetin and kaempferol) and triterpene acids (ursolic and oleanolic acids), bioactive compounds with potent antiproliferative, antimutagenic and immunomodulatory action. The plant produces tumor cell apoptosis and tumor remission, being recommended against tumors localized in different parts of the body (especially at the level of the digestive tract, lungs, lymphosarcoma, laryngeal carcinoma and liver). Oldenlandia also presents diuretic properties and it stimulates blood circulation.
Celandine (Chelidonium majus)
Used since ancient times, celandine is a very powerful plant due to its composition that is rich in chelidonine, homochelidonine and sanguinarine, alkaloids with a cytostatic action of the colchicinic type, which give it great therapeutic efficiency. Goji (Lycium barbarum)
Goji is the fruit of Lycium barbarum, originating in Asia, where it has been used for over 2,000 years in the treatment of various diseases. The plant has an antitumoral effect because it stopps the cell division in the S phase of the cell cycle and because it induces tumor cell apoptosis. Moreover, the studies on Lycium barbarum extract showed a regression of tumors. Directions for Use:
Adults over 18 years:
-tumors, chemotherapy and radiotherapy: take 2 tablets, 5 times daily, on an empty stomach, with 15-20 minutes before meals.
-other disorders: take 2 tablets, 4 times daily, on an empty stomach, with 15-20 minutes before meals.
Adolescents aged 14 to 18 years: Take 1 tablet, 3-4 times daily, on an empty stomach, with 15-20 minutes before meals.
Children under 14 years: as recommended by the doctor.
It is not indicated in: autoimmune diseases, pregnancy, lactation, allergy to any of the product's ingredients.
